This two-story home is built from five shipping containers, keeping costs low while creating a spacious, versatile living space. The original weathered Minnan-style red brick building was preserved and converted into an agricultural workspace, honoring the land’s memory.

Four 40-foot containers and one 20-foot container form a two-and-a-half-story structure, elevated above the brick, floating lightly among the surrounding hills. Stacked containers create openness, and full-height windows bring in light and greenery.

The first floor offers semi-outdoor work and utility spaces; the second floor is the main living area with large windows and a balcony; the third floor has two bedrooms and a terrace for outdoor activities. Old and new coexist, blending history with modern life—this is the heart of our design.
